Malaysian PM Anwar begins five-day working visit to UK
Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is on a five-day visit to the UK, at the invitation of his British counterpart Keir Starmer. Both premiers are expected to discuss ways to strengthen collaboration in trade and investment, higher education, renewable energy, agri-commodity and tourism. The UK is Malaysia's fourth largest trading partner in Europe and it is an important market for Malaysian palm oil. With Malaysia helming the ASEAN bloc this year, Mr Anwar is expected to highlight Malaysia's priorities and ASEAN's efforts in addressing regional and global challenges. Melissa Goh reports.Â
