Maliki Osman on Israel-Hamas conflict
As the Israel-Hamas war rages in the Middle East, young people in Singapore who are trying to understand the conflict and navigate multiple perspectives, or want to express their views, have a safe environment for civil and balanced discourse in schools and Institutes of Higher Learning, said Second Minister for Education and Foreign Affairs Maliki Osman in Parliament on Monday (Nov 6). He said he is proud of how Singaporeans are responding to the situation, as it shows they recognise that they should not let external developments divide them. Instead, they have “channelled their energies constructively” to provide practical assistance to those affected by the fighting.
