Masagos Zulkifli on reviewing eligibility criteria for ComCare assistance
The eligibility criteria for ComCare assistance will be reviewed this year, said Social and Family Development Minister Masagos Zulkifli. The Government reviews the criteria every two to three years. The last review was conducted in 2019. Replying to an MP's question in Parliament on Tuesday (Jan 11), Mr Masagos said households which need help to tide over temporary financial difficulty are provided with ComCare assistance in the short to medium term. The income eligibility criterion for ComCare is not a "hard threshold". The needs of individuals and families are assessed holistically.
