Melvin Yong on Energy (Resilience Measures and Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill
The Energy (Resilience Measures and Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill takes "significant steps to reduce Singapore's carbon footprint" and will gradually force power generation companies to use more energy-efficient technologies, said MP Melvin Yong in Parliament on Tuesday (Nov 2). He asked for updates on the projects funded under the Government's Genco Energy Efficiency Grant Call. Mr Yong also wanted to know how the Government plans to prevent another "exodus of retailers" amid future volatility in the electricity market.
