Melvin Yong on Veterinary Practice Bill
The modern veterinary system does not focus only on vets, but on an entire care team, said MP Melvin Yong. He called for measures to make Singapore’s vet workforce more sustainable, including strengthening local pathways into the profession and establishing stronger recognition and oversight of allied professionals. In parliament on Wednesday (Apr 8), Mr Yong also urged stronger consumer protection through clear pricing disclosures and informed consent.
