Meta bans RT, other Russian state media for foreign interference

Facebook and Instagram's parent company Meta has banned RT and some other Russian media organisations. Meta has accused the Russian outlets of foreign interference -- an allegation fully supported by the US State Department. The ban marks a sharp escalation from the world’s biggest social media company against Russian state media. Previously, Meta only limited ad capabilities and reduced the reach of their posts.
