Mohd Fahmi Aliman on Private Security Industry (Amendment) Bill

The Private Security Industry (Amendment) Bill will send a clear signal that any abuse of security officers will not be tolerated. It will also enhance the pool of qualified security consultants who can help buyers to better procure security services. MP Mohd Fahmi Aliman, who said this in Parliament on Tuesday (Oct 5), also raised concerns that the transition to outcome-based contracting can be daunting for many service buyers. He wanted to know if the Government has any plans to encourage outcome-based contracting and technology to make security officers' work safer and more effective.
