Motion for leave to bring in private member’s bill
In Parliament on Thursday (Aug 3), MP Joan Pereira sought leave to introduce a Bill intituled "An Act to amend the Society of Saint Maur Incorporation Ordinance 1923". She said this was mainly to change the name of the corporation. Leave was granted for the Society of Saint Maur Incorporation Amendment Bill to be read for a second time at the next available sitting of the House.
