Motion: Patrick Tay on an economy of the future that works for all

Three S’s are essential to build an economy that works for all - safeguard the rules, share the gains and strengthen the Singaporean core, said MP Patrick Tay. Speaking in parliament on Wednesday (Aug 5), he said that building an economy for the future that works for all is not just a slogan but is hard and continuous collective work. He pointed out that the Economic Strategy Review gives Singapore a comprehensive roadmap to stay globally competitive and added that the labour movement’s task is to make sure that this roadmap is also worker-centric, inclusive and fair.
