Simplifying the divorce process through digitalisation has its pros and cons, said MP Muhamad Faisal Abdul Manap in Parliament on Monday (Feb 14). He said easing the process could lead to couples making hasty decisions; on the other hand, it will benefit cases which require a quick resolution, such as where domestic violence is involved. Mr Faisal urged the authorities to monitor developments and take action if there are any negative consequences. He also sought clarification on the reason for doing away with a second set of mediators in divorce proceedings.
