Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim on response time of emergency vehicles

01:00 Min

The median time taken for an emergency ambulance to arrive at the incident location was about seven minutes in 2020, the same in 2021 and about eight minutes in 2022. Common reasons for delays are traffic congestion or weather conditions such as a heavy downpour affecting road visibility. The Singapore Civil Defence Force sometimes has to send emergency vehicles that are further away from the incident location because those from the nearest bases are already engaged. Minister of State for Home Affairs Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim gave these details in Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 21) in reply to an MP’s questions.
