Those who require close monitoring are housed at Changi Prison’s Complex Medical Centre. The Singapore Prison Service calibrates support for inmates based on individual needs, including severity of dementia, said Minister of State for Home Affairs Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim. He added that inmates with dementia who lack family support and need long-term residential care can be referred to nursing homes or welfare homes upon their release.
