From 2015 to 2017, there were five cases of illegal speed trials, with 10 people convicted. Between 2018 and 2020, there were four such cases, with 31 suspects arrested. Their cases are pending investigations or court proceedings. Minister of State for Home Affairs Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim gave this update in Parliament on Thursday (Mar 4) in reply to an MP's question. He said Traffic Police conducts regular enforcement operations at known hotspots. It also acts on public feedback and mounts additional enforcement operations if necessary.
