Murali Pillai on enforcing Small Claims Tribunal orders
Orders of the Small Claims Tribunal are enforced through the State Courts. The process of applying for enforcement orders has been simplified - it is only necessary to file a single application for an enforcement order in the District Court. Minister of State for Law Murali Pillai, who highlighted this in reply to an MP’s questions in parliament on Tuesday (Apr 8), also outlined the assistance available for claimants with limited means.
