Nadia Ahmad Samdin on Energy (Resilience Measures and Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill

The transition from gas to green energy is complex and will take time. Singapore must therefore ensure that its energy supply is reliable and prices are stable during the transition, said MP Nadia Ahmad Samdin. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Nov 2), she sought clarity on the Government's plans to import more electricity from low-carbon sources. She lauded the amendments allowing the Energy Market Authority (EMA) to raise capital and issue bonds. She asked if preference will be given to Singaporeans who wish to invest in EMA-issued bonds.
