02:04 Min

Around half of all new Build-to-Order projects will use robots for tasks like painting starting next year. The Housing and Development Board says this is to reduce reliance on manpower and be more productive. It is piloting the use of technology at Garden Waterfront I & II at Tengah, so cranes are more efficient and precise, getting the job done faster and with less labour. It adds it has launched nearly 83,000 flats since 2021 and is on track to offer 100,000 by the end of next year. Alexandra Anand reports.
