Ng Ling Ling on Building a Healthier SG
What types of vaccinations and screenings will be fully subsidised under Healthier SG and how does the Ministry of Health plan to improve the take-up rate? She said she had found that many of her constituents were unaware of the availability and benefits of health screening, or feared finding out about medical problems that might cost a lot to treat and affect their livelihoods. During the debate on the White Paper on Healthier SG, Ms Ng also asked what help will be given to family doctors to connect with community, sports and social service counterparts when they see patients who need support beyond medical treatment. She also wanted to know the adoption rate among seniors for the HealthHub and Healthy 365 apps, which have been proposed as the “digital front doors” of the Healthier SG plan.
