Ng Ling Ling on Copyright Bill

Everyone - including persons with disabilities - should be able to consume and enjoy creative copyrighted content, said MP Ng Ling Ling in Parliament on Monday (Sep 13). She welcomed provisions in the Copyright Bill to give people who are print-disabled more equal access to such work; these are people with visual impairment, perceptual or reading disabilities, or physical disabilities hindering them from being able to hold a book. However, Ms Ng urged that similar provisions be extended to those with intellectual and hearing disabilities as well.
