No plans for direct US-Iran talks as negotiators head to Qatar

The US is dispatching special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Doha for talks to secure more permanent peace in the Middle East. Host Qatar has confirmed that there are no plans for direct talks between the US and Iran. Meanwhile, Iran has denied any planned meeting with the US, but said it will send an expert delegation to speak with Qatar on the release of frozen funds. Qatar also said a de-escalation hotline has helped contain recent US-Iran military exchanges in the Strait of Hormuz. Jagruti Dave reports from Washington DC.
