01:28 Min

US President Joe Biden on Sunday (Dec 1) pardoned his son, Hunter Biden, who faced sentencing this month on tax and gun crime convictions. This means Hunter Biden will not be sentenced for his crimes and can’t be sent to prison. The pardon also cannot be revoked by President-elect Donald Trump.
In a statement, Biden said his son had been “selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted”. "In trying to break Hunter, they’ve tried to break me – and there’s no reason to believe it will stop here. Enough is enough," he said.
