The transfer of Singtel Special Discounted Shares (Singtel SDS) from CPF Board to SDS holders’ Central Depository closes a chapter of a scheme that has helped Singaporeans build up assets, said MP Patrick Tay. Speaking in parliament on Thursday (May 7), he stressed the need to make this transition safe, simple and supportive. He asked if there are plans to refresh broad-based ownership models like SDS, so that workers can benefit not just through wages but also by sharing in the upside.
