A group set up to combat heatwaves - the Mercury Taskforce - says people can go to spaces like community centres and some air-conditioned sports halls to cool off during such an extreme weather event. This comes as Singapore tackles rising temperatures. In Singapore, a heatwave occurs when the highest daily temperature goes above 35 degrees Celcius for three days in a row and the daily mean temperature hits at least 29 degrees Celcius.
