Rahayu Mahzam on balancing MediSave withdrawal limits

02:46 Min

MediSave withdrawal limits are reviewed regularly to judiciously balance between meeting current healthcare needs and preserving savings for future healthcare needs, said Minister of State for Health Rahayu Mahzam. Replying to an MP’s question in parliament on Wednesday (Oct 15), she pointed out that the MediSave 500/700 limits for treatment under the Chronic Disease Management Programme are already tiered. Older patients aged 60 and above will also benefit from Flexi-MediSave, which allows them to withdraw up to an additional S$300 annually for outpatient medical expenses. The Ministry of Health will also be increasing the annual outpatient scan withdrawal limit from S$300 to S$600 from January next year.
