Reply by Desmond Lee after debate on public housing motions

01:01:27 Min

The Government recognises that Singapore's public housing policy is "far from perfect", and constant improvements are needed to make public housing affordable and accessible for Singaporeans today, and tomorrow, said National Development Minister Desmond Lee. He made this point in Parliament on Tuesday (Feb 7) during his closing speech on the debate on the two motions on public housing policy. Mr Lee told the House that the debate has been very valuable, allowing the Government to clarify and put forward clear facts to address the concerns of Singaporeans. He said the system has achieved, through the generations, the outcomes that have been laid on the table. Public housing has been and remains accessible and affordable broadly to Singaporeans, he said.
