Sim Ann on illegal parking of foreign-registered vehicles

02:33 Min

Town councils may prohibit or regulate the parking of vehicles on common property within HDB estates under their own by-laws. The Town Councils Act does not differentiate between foreign- and local-registered vehicles. Town councils can decide on how they wish to act against illegal parking. These include issuing notices of offence and removing or detaining the vehicles. Senior Minister of State for National Development Sim Ann said this in reply to an MP's questions in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 9).
