04:03 Min

Eleven Neighbourhood Centres were informed in March 2024 that they had been selected for upgrading of common areas under the Revitalisation of Shops (ROS) scheme. In 2023, HDB’s co-payment share for the main ROS upgrading cost was increased from 70 per cent to 85 per cent to reduce the co-payment borne by shop owners from 20 per cent to five per cent. Additional funding support was also introduced for optional works at the shopfront. There are currently no plans to change the ROS budget. Senior Minister of State for National Development Sim Ann gave these details in Parliament on Wednesday (Nov 13) in reply to an MP’s questions.
