Pest control robots helping to keep mosquitoes, snakes at bay in Singapore
Pest control robots designed in Singapore may soon be used overseas. Created by the Singapore University of Technology and Design, the Sable robot dispenses insecticide in hard-to-reach places to get rid of mosquitoes. Meanwhile, the Dragonfly catches adult mosquitoes, logging their counts with the help of artificial intelligence. There is also Naja, which releases vibrations into the ground and emits garlic and sulfur smells to help keep snakes and humans apart. Rachel Teng reports.
