Singapore govt aims to boost social mobility, strengthen safety nets and deepen solidarity: PM Wong
A pledge to enhance social mobility and broaden the definitions of success, as well as building a vibrant economy and strengthening support for Singaporeans. Prime Minister Lawrence Wong laid out his commitment to citizens as he and his team begin a new term in government. Addressing MPs during the debate on the President's Address, Mr Wong said his team will strive to create more fulfilling lives for the next generation. He also urged MPs to practice serious, honest politics with Singapore’s long-term interests in mind, warning that privileges are not guaranteed and can be lost if parties fail public trust.
