Parliament has approved Singapore's S$143 billion Budget, following a three-day debate that saw more than 50 MPs speak on pressing issues, such as the cost of living, family support and AI disruption. Addressing the concerns raised, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong said thriving in uncertainty is never easy, but Singapore has strong foundations that give it confidence to move forward. He urged firms to put in effort to transform and keep pace with competition. Mr Wong also said the government will do whatever is necessary to support every Singaporean at every life stage.
