Singapore, Malaysia to allow cross-border taxis to drop off passengers anywhere

Industry observers says cabbies must be fairly compensated if they are to drop off passengers anywhere in Johor. Singapore and Malaysia transport ministers have agreed to this change, without a start date yet. Previously, taxi drivers could drop off passengers in only one place in the other country. Authorities are also ramping up supply of cross-border taxis. The quota will be raised to 500 for each country, more than twice the current limit. Ivy Chok has more.
