Singapore must push ahead with AI adoption to stay competitive: Josephine Teo

Slow artificial intelligence adoption could hurt Singapore’s competitiveness as companies overseas continue to charge ahead, says Minister for Digital Development and Information Josephine Teo. Speaking to CNA’s Sarah Al-Khaldi at the ATxSummit, Ms Teo says Singapore must continue advancing AI adoption while building stronger safeguards. She also stresses the need for AI systems with “safety by design” incorporated to strengthen cybersecurity.
