Singapore navy deploys unmanned vessels to carry out patrol operations
For the first time, unmanned vessels are carrying out patrol operations in Singapore's waters, protecting the country against threats, such as robbery and terrorism at sea. The navy has secured four Maritime Security Unmanned Surface Vessels, or MARSEC USVs, which can carry out security operations without anyone onboard. The Singapore Strait is among the busiest in the world, with over a thousand vessels passing through every day. Aslam Shah reports.
