South Korea wildfires: At least 24 dead, including pilot whose firefighting helicopter crashed

24 people have died and tens of thousands evacuated in South Korea, as authorities battle what they are calling the worst wildfires in the country's recent history. Deaths include that of a 73-year-old pilot, whose firefighting helicopter crashed this afternoon. South Korea is at its highest crisis level for forest fires, and Acting President Han Duck-soo has vowed an all-out effort to contain the infernos — now into their sixth day.
