Singapore and South Korea upgrade ties to Strategic Partnership
Singapore and South Korea have upgraded ties to Strategic Partnership as both countries mark 50 years of diplomatic relations. This includes eight deals in areas such as public sector cooperation, further trade and green growth. Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong is in Seoul for his first official visit, after wrapping up the APEC Summit in Gyeongju. Singapore will also launch negotiations next year to upgrade a free trade area between ASEAN and South Korea. Claudia Lim reports from Seoul.
