GE2025: Parties need to return to 'core issues' of election campaign, says Chan Chun Sing

Education Minister Chan Chun Sing said positive campaigning is about presenting options and not about riling up emotions without solutions. He was responding to questions on what opposition parties are alleging is "negative politics" in this campaign. Mr Chan added that the core issue is about how candidates can help Singapore overcome challenges and seize new opportunities in a troubled world. While he acknowledged that any contest will have arguments back and forth, he has issued a call for all parties to uphold standards. Sherlyn Seah reports.
