Al-Istiqamah Mosque in Serangoon North evacuated after delivery of suspicious parcel
The Al-Istiqamah Mosque in Serangoon North was evacuated and cordoned off earlier today, after a suspicious parcel was found within its premises. The police said at about 5.20pm, it was alerted to a suspicious parcel being delivered to the mosque. Police officers and Singapore Civil Defence Force personnel then evacuated the building as a precaution. SCDF said its hazardous materials specialists conducted checks with detectors and found no hazardous substances. Alif Amsyar reports.
