The Workers' Party said it is contesting Tampines GRC to "slap the driver" — referencing a phrase by former party chief Low Thia Khiang. During the 2011 election, Mr Low said the opposition should be like a co-driver, who would nudge the government back on course if it veered off. Tampines GRC has emerged as one of the key battlegrounds in this General Election. It is the only constituency facing a four-cornered fight. The WP is up against the incumbent People's Action Party and two other opposition parties — the National Solidarity Party and the People's Power Party. Afifah Ariffin reports.
