Sylvia Lim on COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Amendment) Bill
While the provision to extend pandemic control orders in the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Amendment) Bill is "prudent", Singapore should continue to move significantly to normalcy, said MP Sylvia Lim. Speaking in Parliament on Friday (Mar 11), she outlined how Singapore is in a much "stronger position" to handle the health impacts of COVID-19. She also asked if current control measures remain "fit for purpose", given the wide spread of cases in the community despite a high vaccination rate.
