Sylvia Lim on Land Transport and Related Matters Bill

In parliament on Tuesday (Feb 3), MP Sylvia Lim sought clarifications on two aspects of the Land Transport and Related Matters Bill. Firstly, she said it would be useful for the Ministry of Transport to clarify how enforcement actions will change with the new offence of keeping an unsafe mobility device. Secondly, she asked the Ministry of Home Affairs to give more details on the proposed move to outsource the processing of traffic violations. She noted that outsourcing will result in cost efficiencies but stressed the need to elicit some details to understand how this move will affect members of the public.
