Tan Kiat How on heavy vehicle parking lots

There are currently enough heavy vehicle parking lots across Singapore, but some lots in or near residential areas are being phased out to free up land for other developmental needs and because residents have raised concerns about noise and safety. However, the authorities are working to ensure there continue to be sufficient lots islandwide that are accessible to drivers. Minister of State for National Development Tan Kiat How said this in response to a query in Parliament on Thursday (Mar 10). He said heavy vehicle drivers play an important role in Singapore's economy.
