Tan See Leng on Silver Support support for seniors
The Silver Support Scheme targets seniors aged 65 and above who had low incomes during their working years and now have little or no family support and resources in retirement. Eligible seniors living in smaller flats with less financial resources will receive higher payments. The scheme is part of a wider set of social support measures and seniors who need further assistance can approach their nearest Social Service Office to apply for ComCare. Manpower Minister Tan See Leng said this in reply to an MP’s question in parliament on Tuesday (Jan 13).
