Tariff truce: Trump signs executive order extending tariff pause on Chinese imports
What would have amounted to a virtual trade embargo between the world's two biggest economies has been averted for now. US and China have agreed to put a pause on triple-digit tariffs for 90 days. That leaves levies on American goods to China at 10 per cent, versus the up to 125 per cent announced in April.
