At the crux of it is a decades-long spat over parts of the Emerald Triangle, where their borders meet Laos and several ancient temples stand. The row flared into deadly military clashes more than 15 years ago. Cambodia is seeking international mediation, but Thailand has long rejected the International Court of Justice's jurisdiction in these matters.
