Train service resumption from Jurong East to Buona Vista delayed until Oct 1
A holdup to the resumption of normal services on the East-West Line in Singapore. Train services at stations affected since Sep 25, between Jurong East and Buona Vista, will not re-start on Monday (Sep 30) as hoped. The Land Transport Authority and rail operator SMRT have now moved the target date back by a day to Tuesday. The cause of the delay is due to more cracks discovered during stress tests.
