Tripartite workgroup to study how seniors can stay employed longer

11:31 Min

A tripartite workgroup to provide career guidance and promote age-friendly jobs will be formed to help seniors stay in their jobs longer. It is also aimed at meeting Singapore's manpower needs in a tight labour market, as many are leaving the workforce while still in their 50s. To ensure retirement adequacy, CPF contribution rates for seniors will go up by 1.5 percentage points next year. The government will help employers with a one-year offset covering half of the increase. Rebecca Metteo reports, while Senior Minister of State for Manpower Koh Poh Koon shares more about support measures to uplift senior employment.
