Vikram Nair on Good Samaritan Food Donation Bill
In Parliament on Wednesday (Aug 7), MP Vikram Nair rose in support of the Good Samaritan Food Donation Bill. He said there are many organisations and people that currently collect and redistribute food from potential donors to recipients. The Bill aims to support their work by making their legal responsibilities clear and easy to comply with. As long as they meet certain safeguards, they will be protected from liability if recipients of the food suffer harm. Mr Nair said the safeguards are “both rigorous and reasonable”.
