Foreign Affairs Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, who said this in reply to an MP’s questions in Parliament on Monday (Nov 11), pointed out that what is important for Singapore is that these new emerging arrangements do not undermine ASEAN centrality. They should support an open and inclusive regional architecture and promote a rules-based order based on international law, he added.
