Kuah Boon Theng on Health Information Bill

The vision of achieving nationwide contribution of health information into a central repository is a truly ambitious and challenging goal, said NMP Kuah Boon Theng. As with all things new, there would be fear and trepidation from the ground, she said in parliament on Monday (Jan 12). Ms Kuah stressed the need to ensure that healthcare professionals see the system as an asset and patients trust that it is serving their needs and safeguarding their interests. She wanted to know if the government intends to continue to focus on patient education efforts to build trust.
