Alex Yeo on Health Information Bill

With all healthcare providers set to be included in the National Electronic Health Record, the Ministry of Health intends to conduct regular audits to flag cases of inappropriate access. Welcoming this, MP Alex Yeo asked for details on the frequency and parameters of the audits. He also wanted to know the considerations behind making it compulsory for healthcare providers to upload key health information onto the system, rather than requiring patient consent. Mr Yeo spoke in parliament on Monday (Jan 12).
