Wan Rizal on Building a Healthier SG
Different constituencies have different demographics that may need specific consideration and attention, says MP Wan Rizal. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Oct 4), he cited his constituency at Kolam Ayer and Jalan Besar as an example, where there are higher proportions of elderly residents. He wanted to know if there will be enough resources, both in terms of quantity and quality. He also wanted to know how the Ministry of Health (MOH) will support the elderly who need help making regular visits to the doctor. He also asked how the programme will affect the daily workload and operations of GPs. He stressed the need to get the elderly digitally ready and wanted to know how MOH will address their concerns.
